QQ is most popular in China. Although QQ software is the world’s most widely used internet chat clients, most people outside of china have no idea what is it. This paper written by Benjamin Ross who’s I even knew. It seems credible to me.  I found out form Wikipedia: “The original name of QQ was OICQ”. That’s what the author written. And I found out Skype is not popular in China. The most popular is QQ and Msn. QQ is popular on campus while Msn is popular among people who are at office. It is totally same.

QQ is popular in China as a chatting tool, but not in other foreign countries, so if you want to make friends with Chinese people, that must be a wise choice anyway, if not, MSN will be better than that.

In my 20 years life I haven’t see anyone who comes from china and younger than 30 years old didn’t have QQ account.

I suspect that non Chinese user use it just because they need to contract Chinese. Qualitative just means the number of something, and quantitative means what the thing is like or what is it made of, it depends on the thing itself but not the number

Quantitative research is used to denote approaches which are supported by a set of hypotheses; it resorts to applying the model of science of natural world to study the social world. The accent of the quantitative research is on patterns, causes and results. Quantitative research uses the tenets of positivism which consist in the fact that patterns of the social world have own existence.

However, in actual fact the difference between quantitative and qualitative research is simplistic. To greater extend research applies a number of methods the combination of which may include qualitative and quantitative elements. Quantitative and qualitative researches mainly differ in the treatment of information, in the way they apply this data.
